Art Aaaaangst!

Dear God I hope this works.

All I did was add color. Cial/Icarus/Tochi/etc did everything else.

I'm really out of practice with drawing. Infuriatingly so. I get home from work and it's either sleep, homework, or housework. It's not that I don't HAVE time, it's that I don't MAKE time. So, my Sheezy account will be filing up with art exercises as I'm getting back into shape (Durhurhur! :B) . Colorings may pop up in here now and then, little things to build confidence. I don't feel like I put enough into those for them to deserve being put on Sheezy, so there you go.

The usual

Dear friends,

I know I haven't posted in a while, so I'll briefly outline what's been going on.

Powerline snapped and burned a huge patch of my lawn.
Wild Boars were set free on the outskirts of the large city where I work. Naturally, this meant that when I tried to go to McDonalds on my lunch break I found a what I estimate to be a 200 pound wild boar humping my station wagon. Ate from the vending machines instead.
Wild Boar lovin' is really hard to clean off.
Had to climb up on my parent's roof and cover a hole. This entailed tarring a mudflap to the roof, then spreading out a tarp and holding the edges down with cement blocks. (We have a flat roof.)
Brother had another genius moment and decided that a smaller desk with less storage space would help him get more organized. I'm sure I'll find my living room again someday.
Mowed lawn. (Don't even get me started. Let's just say it's way more complicated than it sounds.)
Work. I keep getting assigned to the shittiest jobs. It's kind of a good thing because I get assigned to them because my boss trusts me to get it right over most of my coworkers, but it's a pain in the ass. I'm usually RUNNING for the entire 8 hour shift. I am a fat guy, seriously, AFTER A FEW DAYS I GET A LITTLE WORN DOWN.
Nightmares got freaky. Go play a Silent Hill game if you're curious, I practically live there.
Bought a rice cooker.
Did laundry.

Busily,
Phil

THE GREAT RET-CON

*Gets in front of the camera*
"Ok... so uuuhhhh....."
*Jedi hand wave*
"None of this happened? Did, did that work? Hello?"

I'm keeping this stuff up because it was fun, but for the sake of role playing in Sabrous the slate is clean. Phil still has a ton of adopted nieces and nephews from his older brother having a thing for pregnant ladies, still works as a full-time janitor and part-time stripper at the Sandbox, and still has his house.

That whole thing with Pookas and guards getting killed and the trial and blahblahblah? Never happened.
Everything Involving Tarendol, Kentrin, and being an assassin? Lost the paperwork.

The part where he kinda/sorta acts as a dad to Amberly? I don't know yet. I'll talk to Jemli.
The stuff between him and Tcarah? They've met in the bar while they were drunk. (Their first meeting sans the undead chitchat. That didn't happen.) They know each others name's but that's it. No romance, they practically just met.

I haven't decided on his fur color. He might stay black, but I'm really leaning toward him being white again. We'll see.

Boring. (really!)

Dear Ma,

Finally got the walls clean. The rest of the house is picked up too. Don't really have much to write about I guess. With school winding down none of the kids have been over in a while. I think Kandar wandered off for good, hope he didn't hurt himself or anything. Tcarah's and Amberly are both off doing their thing, so it's just me. Never noticed how much time I had until I didn't have someone to take care off. At least I can have meat in the house again! Tcarah can't have it. Just the smell makes her sick. Yes ma, I eat just fine while she's here. I eat lunch at work when Tcarah stays at the house.
Let's see, what else. The water tank got fixed. The little fix-it job I did held up until someone from the Myche camp could come out. One of the girls said she saw Ruoy at the club, but I don't think he bothered anybody. If he did Kentrin would've bothered him and I didn't clean up any blood so there's that. Not much else is going on I guess. I've haven't been working the second job at all lately. Still read the job offers when they come in, just feels like I'm being all rude if I don't at least look them over.
I think that potion Vel took a while back might not have worn off yet. The one she took back when someone brought that box of circus potions into Seymor's. I haven't seen her at all and Kentrin's always got this huge grin on his face whenever I see him. I know she and Toren aren't off having a honeymoon or anything, I keep seeing him around town and he hasn't been grinning. Poor guy. I'm going to talk to Seymor and see if we can't get a surprise around to cheer him up.

Bored as ever,
Phil

Livin's easy

Dear Ma,

Tcarah's still over, It's been nice, but I'm surprised she's stuck around for so long. I can tell she wants to get going again. Keeps looking out the window when she thinks I won't notice. That and she won't talk about when she's going to leave again. Probably thinks I'll try to stop her if she tells me. Worse than Amberly sometimes.

Work is going ok. The manager's been having some problems ever since we tried all those circus potions in the tavern that one day. Kentrin tries to look like he's about to pull his mane out over it when he's out in the club, I know that's an act. He probably chewed Vel out for drinking strange potions and I'm betting he's been having a ball with this as soon as the lecture was over. He has to be loving this or else he would've chewed me and Toren out royal for letting Vel do it. Anyways, everyone's in a good mood at the club.

Tcarah was worried about someone coming after me for my fur for a while. Kind of funny, it took her 'this' long to realize people were going to do that? And she rags on me for being slow. Sometimes I think that's why she's stuck around so long this time, make sure I'm ok. I think Toren and Mrs. Manager have been watching out for me though. Don't see any fur trappers in Tek anyways.

Okie's over tonight. Making potato and mushroom stew. Tochi's tail, Tcarah is so lost when it comes to being around kids! Especially babies! It's so funny to watch her and Belkin! He just starts climbing and she just sits there like a stranded kitten! She does fine with Okie though, but he's older and into all that healing magic.

Let's see, what else? I bought some little windchimes for the house. Oven broke, but I fixed that. Tcarah helped me with laundry. I got started on my snow day shopping. I know it's a little late what with all the kids and all, but with any luck I might not have to rush around at the last minute again this year!

There's the door! Got to get dinner started!

With Love,
Phil

And We Just Disagree!

Dear Ma,

Meant to write to you sooner but things came up. Min wanted some help cooking the other day and since she helped me do laundry I kinda owed it to her. The little breadthingies we made were pretty good, not sure if I remember the recipe too well, but I can give making them a shot. She needed a lot of help to make them, might be a good way to keep the kids busy when they come over! Toren, Kazza, and Prythian were there. What really surprised me was Tcarah showed up! Yes ma, I was nice to her anyways.
That reminds me, I since I had a day off and no one was over, I went to the woods for the day. Yes ma, I know it's not really safe to be out like that on your own, but it's just been work and the kids ever since things calmed down. Besides, I don't get outside enough. Needed a change of scenery.
So naturally, on the day I just want to relax and be by myself, I just "had" to bump into Tcarah! Well, you can guess we had a long talk. Wasn't a nice one at first either. I said some things I shouldn't have and she did too. I figured something out when we were yelling at each other though. The shit she put me through was just like the shit I put her through! Back when I had that trouble with the guards and when she found out about the second job. Yes ma, she's known for a while now. All this time I was thinking about how she hurt me and how I couldn't trust her, she had to go through the same thing with me! And the stuff she did to me back then was what I was doing to her now!
Well, once we figured it out we had a good laugh about it. She gave me a chance after all the crap I pulled, only fair I do the same. We camped out in the woods and hightailed it back to town in the morning. Tcarah said there were some nasty bandits out there. Nastier than usual anyway. So she's staying at my place in town where it's safe. I know she'll head out again and I know she can handle herself, but that won't stop me from worrying!

Happily,
Phil.

Easy suds it.

  • Mar. 7th, 2008 at 10:12 PM

Dear ma,

Had some help for laundry day. Kandar wandered off again. Naturally. If I didn't know better I'd say he was doing that on purpose. Minita, Toren, and even Kazza stopped by and gave me a hand. Didn't stick around for the ironing and folding, but they helped me with the bleaching, which was all I really needed help with. Toren was a little embarrassed, his wife Velesti owns the club, so I do their laundry too. Kind of makes me wonder who he thought did it instead of me?
Anyways, that was all day. We had a special going at the club and everyone's uniforms got all nasty, the club did too. I don't think we'll try that again soon, the cleanup might have cost more than what we make normally! The way Toren and Minita were horsing around, I think I'll ask Mrs. Manager if we can try soap suds next time. This way we can just rinse the place when it's over.

Love,
Phil

Good News and Bad News...

  • Mar. 6th, 2008 at 1:18 AM

Don't normally talk about real life here but this time I think I probably should.

Good News: I'm not unemployed anymore! The job I had lined up finally got the opening they were waiting for to hire me.

Bad News. My 8 hour shift and 1 hour commute to and from work are from 10:00Pm to 8:00Am. Prime-time for rp on Sabrous is from 10:00Pm to 3:00Am in my time zone. So I'm not going to see some of you hardly at all, and I'm almost never going to get to rp with you guys for a while. Yes, weekends are iffy because I'll have mandatory overtime every other weekend.

I'm still going to pop in and see you guys when I can though. It's not like I'm leaving, but I'm still bummed that I can't come and play anymore. I don't want to miss you guys at Sabrous. You're good people and you've really helped me a lot.

Corner of Nothing and New

Dear ma,

Things are still pretty quiet. There was an execution the other day when Okie was over so I took him to the Gardens until it was all taken care of. Kandar stayed to watch it though. Says where he's from they don't do that, or at least he doesn't remember seeing any.
Anyways, Okie had a good time. Told me all about the stuff he was learning about herbs. Saw Vel and Toren at the gardens, but between both their jobs I don't think they get to spend too much time just the two of them, so we gave them some space. After that we ran some errands and had lunch at Seymors and I took him to temple for lessons. FIxed dinner so Okie could eat as soon as his lessons were done, Kandar helped.
He didn't know what to think about the execution. It was some Chuian and a Lizerdman up there this time. I guess it bugged me a little at first, but after a while I just got used to it. I mean, it's either ignore it or go back to living on the streets, and I'm not doing that again! Dinner was just a stir fry. Nice and easy.
After Okie fell asleep I talked to Kandar a little. I still don't know what's going on with him, but he's starting to sound a little better. Well, not really better, but calmer. Still can't figure out how he keeps getting out at night! Executioner's never seen him leave, so I know he's sleepwalking out the back. Other than that I don't really have a clue! He really covers a lot of ground when he does it too! He does it again and I swear I'm going to put a bell on him like we had to for Edgar when he was a pup!

Love,
Phil
